Seems inexplicably absurd
If it’s marking a kiss
That too seems so remiss

Xpertly done xpescially enjoy Limerick… Is there a ‘ rule ‘ for how to Limerick? Forgot to look up yesterday

The Limerick tends to have anapestic rhythm rather than iambic, there at least a couple of different ‘templates’ for the Limerick pattern, I’ll have to look up the rules because it’s a natural British English pattern of poetry – I know it’s said to be an Irish form but I’m not sure if the Irish agree on that, as it’s definitely not a Gaelic pattern of language and seems the Irish struggle with the poetic rhythm when they read them. I might be in error there but it’s what I’ve gleaned so far – and the Limerick rhythm occurs within ye olde englishe poetry long, long before it’s small form use.
