Jolly along while you can
Maybe not giving a damn
Till the water runs out
No shops open to tout
Even pulses and grains for your pan.

Ignorance is bliss we declare …
Eyes closed, might proceed with no care
Till the day soon arrives
We’re left wondering whys
While the answers were already there!

I’m not blogging here officially in response to the A to Z challenge, and not breaking here for Sundays, so now out of sync with that challenge’s schedule and with my signed up blog ‘The Wishing Well’, today’s post there for H still in the making …
However the happening hey
Jolly up ‘have a very nice day!’

How’s about around any ole way.

Ghoulish and gruelsome my slops
Slapdash at this window in clogs
Grey goo everywhere
So I stand here and swear
FFS and heaven knows what.

Flying away with my thoughts
Often trajecting off course
Might arrive at delights
Or make long weary nights
Lately missing the most of my morns.

Ecclectically clattering on
Entertaining myself with a song
With a twist and a turn
till I reach crash and burn
Meditation by doing’s not wrong.

Daily I question my self
Is there more i could do for my health?
A song and a dance?
New nutritional stance?
I’m adopting a much better Elf!

Carrots help you see in the dark?
But rubbing them won’t make them spark!
A candle’d be brighter
Though I’d still need a lighter
Best sleep early then up with the larks.

Better the devil you know?
Is this a saying that fills you with woe?
If the devil’s your love
Best you give them the shove
As sometimes life is much better alone.

In the UK there are organisations purporting to help victims of domestic abuse such as Women’s Aid, or even Men’s Aid, you can find an appropriate number to call for help perhaps, or maybe Framework. [I can’t help with appropriate numbers, assuming you have access at the very least!]
An apple a day so they say
Will be sure to keep the doctor away
but in today’s NHS
They just sit at their desk
Like a clerk but with much better pay.

I wanted to add on the occasion of this rhyme that the individual health of the medical practitioner suffers tremendously for the difficulties and impossibilities of undertaking such public service work and I mean no disrespect for those professionals doing their best within the service framework that currently exists.
